**How many tables do I need for my wedding?**

Take the guests you expect at the event, subtract anyone sitting at a head or sweetheart table, divide by the seats per table, and round up. In the Anaya & Rohan example, 280 reception guests with a sweetheart table for 2 leaves 278 guests, which is 28 tables of 10 with 2 empty seats.

**How many people fit at a round wedding table?**

Linen supplier CV Linens puts a 60-inch round at 8 guests, a 66-inch round at 8 to 10 and a 72-inch round at 10 to 12, with the lower end more comfortable for a plated dinner. Ask your venue or rental company which sizes they stock, and how many chairs they set at each, before you settle on a number.

**Should I plan a few spare seats?**

A few empty seats spread across the room make late changes and walk-ins easier. The calculator shows how many empty seats the rounding leaves. If you want more, lower the seats per table by one and compare the table count.

**Do I need a different table count for each wedding event?**

Usually, yes. At a multi-day wedding the sangeet, ceremony and reception rarely have the same guest list, and a mehndi may be mostly lounge seating. Run the calculator once per seated event with that event's expected yes count, not the total guest list.

**Where do kids and vendors sit?**

Count children who need their own chair as guests. If the photographer, DJ or planner will eat seated in the room, add them to the guest count too, or ask the venue for a separate vendor table.

**Is the calculator free, and is my data saved?**
