Let guests request to join your wedding, and approve each one
PlanMe's public link lets people who aren't on your guest list ask to join. Each guest adds their party, picks the functions each person will attend, answers your RSVP questions and verifies an email or phone with a one-time code. You approve or decline every request, and you set how many guests the link can take. Free during beta.

A public link guests use to ask to join
- 1
Set up the link
From your guest list, open Public Link. Choose the functions it covers, how many guests it can take, and how many extra guests each person can add, or none.
- 2
Share it
Copy the link and send it to the people you have in mind, such as a family group or a circle of friends.
- 3
Guests request to join
They add their names, pick functions for each person, answer your RSVP questions and verify their email or phone with a one-time code.
- 4
You decide
Pending requests show as a count on the Public Link button. Approve to add the party to your guest list, or decline.
What's included
One public link
Anyone with the link can ask to join after verifying their contact details.
Capacity you set
Pick a total for the link and watch how many have registered so far.
Extra guests, your way
Let each person add up to a set number of guests, or keep the link to head guests only.
Your choice of functions
Guests only see the functions you include, and they pick which ones each person will attend.
Verified contacts
Guests confirm an email address or phone number with a code before they can send a request.
Review in one place
Filter requests by pending, approved or declined, and see each party's names, functions and answers.
How request to join works
Private RSVP links are for guests you've already invited. The public link is for people you're happy to have but haven't added yet, like a colleague's partner or a cousin's family. For invited guests, see RSVP for multiple events.
What guests see
If you've designed an RSVP invitation, the link opens on it with a Request to Join button. Guests enter their first and last name and add anyone coming with them, up to the number you allow.
Then they pick functions for each person and answer any questions on your RSVP form. Before sending, they confirm an email address or phone number with a one-time code and check everything over. They can come back later, verify again and update their request while it's pending or after you approve it, and changes to an approved request carry over to your guest list.
What you see
Requests arrive in the Public Link window on your guest list. Each shows the head guest, anyone with them, the functions each person picked and their answers.
Approve a request and the party is copied into your guest list. You can't undo an approval, so look it over first. If you decline, their spots are freed and the same person can verify again and send a new request later.
Capacity and closing
You set the total number of guests the link can take. You can change it later, as long as it isn't below the number already registered. Once the cap you set is reached, the link closes to new requests. If your RSVP form has a closing date, the link stops taking requests after it.
Request to join questions
Can guests request to join my wedding?
Yes. Share PlanMe's public link with them. Guests enter their party, pick the functions they plan to attend and verify their contact details, then send you a request to approve or decline.
Are guests added to my guest list automatically?
No. Every request waits for you. When you approve one, the party is copied into your guest list. When you decline one, nobody is added and their spots are freed.
How is the public link different from a personal RSVP link?
A personal RSVP link goes to a household already on your guest list and shows only the functions they're invited to. The public link is for people you haven't added yet, and every request waits for your approval.
Can I cap how many people join through the link?
Yes. Set the total number of guests the link can take, and how many extra guests each person can bring, or allow head guests only. Once the cap you set is reached, the link closes to new requests.
How do I know who is asking to join?
Every guest verifies an email address or phone number with a one-time code. Before you approve, you see their names, the people with them, the functions they chose and their answers.
Can guests choose which functions to attend?
Yes. You choose which functions the link covers. Each guest then picks the ones every person in their party will attend.
